1.5 million euros for endowed chair
Twelve companies from the Bergisch region have joined forces with the Stifterverband für die deutsche Wissenschaft and Sparkasse Solingen to raise a total of over 1.5 million euros for an endowed chair in mechanical engineering at the University of Wuppertal, based in Solingen. The donors met yesterday at the Hazet company in Remscheid to discuss the content of the chair. At the meeting, Solingen's Lord Mayor Norbert Feith was chosen as the contact person for the cooperation between the university, the Stifterverband and the donors. Prof Gust is the contact person for the university.
