iLInno research and development project
New concepts for learning in the work process and the innovative capacity of companies are to be developed and tested with immediate effect in a project at the university of Wuppertal in cooperation with companies from the Bergisches Land region.
In the joint project, a team from the Chair of Vocational and Continuing Education headed by Prof. Dr Gabriele Molzberger, the Department of Design and Construction headed by Prof. Dr Peter Gust and the Centre for Continuing Education is investigating the prerequisites and conditions for successful processes of company skills development. Cooperation partners are the two Wuppertal companies KS SYSTEC Dr. Schmidbauer GmbH & Co. KG and Profilator GmbH & Co. KG as well as the Remscheid-based company SMS Elotherm GmbH.
The Federal Ministry of Education and Research is funding the research and development project iLInno (informal learning as a driver of innovation) over the next three years from the programme "Working - Learning - Developing skills. Innovative ability in a modern working world" programme. The project volume totals around 1.3 million euros. The University of Wuppertal team will receive project funding totalling around 738,000 euros.
