• understand the Geometric Product Specification (GPS) standards system and derive advantages and limitations of its application
• dimension and tolerate components in technical drawings according to the current state of the standards in a functionally appropriate manner
• Perform tolerance chain calculations

• Introduction to the standards system of geometric product specification
• Reference systems, dimensional, shape and positional tolerances, symbols and modifiers
• Application rules for tolerancing
• Basics of tolerance analysis
