Special machine construction
Position in the degree programme:
Compulsory elective
Workload:
5 LP / 2 SWS
Type of proof:
Portfolio
Learning outcomes / competences:
The students are able to
- design selected components of the special machine,
- transfer the acquired theoretical knowledge to practical problems,
- familiarise themselves with a given problem, solve it in teamwork and present the results, taking into account project and time management methods.
Contents:
Construction of a special machine
- Use of special machines,
- Function (handling, packaging, processing machine),
- Components (axes, controls, drives),
- Control (linear motor/ servo motor; synchronous/ asynchronous, pneumatics, feedback, machine axes),
- sensors and camera technology,
- Storage (parts provision, organisation, robotics),
- automation and feeding,
- grinding technology,
- Calculation and design of the machine body, the control system (inertia adjustment) and the drive.
Legal principles
- Theory (general and special machine construction),
- Consolidation of knowledge through practical examples.
Excursions to the participating industrial companies will be part of the course.
